ELAINE SKOULAS, M.A, AMFT
Elaine received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Psychological Trauma Studies from Antioch University, Los Angeles. She also completed a dual concentration in Psychology and Addiction Studies in her undergraduate work. Elaine’s experience includes working with co-occurring disorders at a residential detox treatment center and leading a group on grief and loss at Our House Grief Support Center. Elaine’s clinical work includes areas of addiction, relationships, women’s issues, LGBTQ+, grief and loss, race-based trauma, transitional life phases, and family dynamics. She has a passion for working with intersectionality of cultures. Elaine incorporates multiple theoretical lenses such as psychodynamic, strength-based, client-centered, relational, narrative, and mindfulness. Elaine loves all animals, enjoys travel and learning about different cultures, relaxes with experimental cooking, and practices painting and photography.
